Okay so this is Lee and I last year at a Christmas Party. It's the best I can do for now. I am so very new at this Blogging thing - but thought I would give it a try. Sounds like fun and I'll try not to tell the whole world all my secrets and stuff that will embarrass myself & others. Of course no promises.

The main reason I am doing this Blog is so that I can try to keep my family and friends up to date on our trip to Taiwan with our youngest daughter.

She wishes so that her older brother and sister and Brother in law could have come on this amazing trip. A once in a lifetime event actually. But unfortunately to much time was involved in taking time off. Anna was named to be on the US National Deaf Women's Soccer Team. They are playing in the 2009 Deaflympics in Tapei Taiwan Sept. 5 - 16, 2009. Anna leaves on Wednesday and will be flying with two other Team mates. One from her Women's Team and the other from the Men's US Team. When they arrive in Taipei - they will travel to a city called Chiayi (2.5 hours drive south of Taipei). The Team will train there and than travel back to Taipei for the games.
The Men's Soccer Team has their first game on Sept. 4 at 9:30am. (Meaning Sept 3 at 9:30 PM in the USA) The first game for the Women is September 5 at 9:30am. (Meaning Sept 4 at 9:30 PM in USA) Second game is Sept 7 at 9:30am (Meaning Sept 6 at 9:30 PM in USA) and the Third game on Sept. 9 was canceled due to the Team withdrawing. The next games will all depend on the results of the first and second games. You will have to go to the information website - see below - to find out the dates and times. I of course will also update this blog to let you know as well. (Remember that Taiwan is 12 hours ahead --- so plan accordingly.)
You can go to the following website to watch the games: http://www.deaflympics.tv/ and to find out other information regarding the games http://www.2009deaflympics.org/ and than go to the left side and click game schedules and look for women's futbol.
Anna also has a blog http://anna-taiwan-deaflympics.blogspot.com/ ---this will be a great place for you to go to get her perspective of what is going on. I can't wait to read it and see her feelings on everything. So exciting.

Okay so this is the Women's Team. This was at a training camp back in January 09 in Pensacola, Florida. Anyway just a look at who is going to Taiwan and oh so exciting. The man on the Right is Coach Ken McDonald and he is amazing.... He was the Asst. Coach on the Women's Team in 2005 when they won the GOLD. Very good man.... some of the players are not still with us and some others we have added. But overall this is the Team that will be leaving on August 26th.

Please pray for each and everyone of them for safe travels and good health and strong bodies.
Okay I will sign off now.... but please keep a watch out for us. We will be the ones in the stands acting like fools and being "OH SO PROUD of the USA".
Love to all back in the States...
